Merit Award students

Congratulations to Jack for getting a Merit Award for his great maths work and Evalina for her lovely creative writing.

Well done!

Food for Thought programme

We were very lucky to have the Food for Thought programme in last week. It is sponsored by the Heart Foundation and teaches students to make good choices about what they eat.
In our first session we looked at the different food groups as well as putting a variety of drinks in order according to how much sugar they have. Some of the drinks really surprised us!
In our second session we had to read food labels off packets and boxes and  make decisions on how healthy each one was.

Super Swimming!!

Swimming has been a great experience for all the students - I have seen so much improvement over the last few weeks with students gaining confidence in the water and developing a swimming style that will enable them to swim longer distances without having to stop.
The water safety day was a huge hit with lots of new skills learnt and practiced. The whole class worked together as a team which was lovely to see.
